Built in 1894, as a gift to the city of Toronto from the Massey family, Massey Hall and its famous red doors has hosted Canada’s most important concerts and lectures. The building’s original Moorish-style architecture, mixed with the Art Deco-inspired renovations welcomes and impresses visitors and guests. This venue has a unique place in Canadian history and has played host to many different kinds of events. From concerts and lectures to boxing matches and beauty contests Massey Hall remains a favourite place for promoters, meeting planners and community leaders.
A number of spaces are available for rental and can be used for many different types of events. The theatre capacity is over 2,700, and the Balcony Lounge (60 guests) and the Centuries Lounge (250 guests) can be used to host pre or post-show receptions. The Stage is also available for rental and can seat 120 for dinner.
